THE CELEBRATION OF GROCERIES

The Theme of my two piece dress is - "The Gift of Groceries".It has a grey and beige outer layer that will then be taken off to expose a very vibrant and colorful inner layer. It will represent the joy of getting your weekly groceries from the store, as if it were the best gift you have ever received in your life. to express this, I will do the following-

The outer look is a caftan that goes over the arms and whole body and be covered completely in grocery bags from several different grocery stores. It contains both mundane grey plastic and brown paper bags that is layered throughout randomly.

Once ripped off, it will expose the inner dress. The inner look will be different colorful cardboard boxes from all of my frozen grocery trash and plastic bags from left over produce as well as chip bags.

Finally my Grandmother modeled the dress to represent the happiness a Grandmother gets from a good grocery haul.
